ABOUT THE TEAM
You’ll be joining Tide at a pivotal moment as we launch both Partner Credit Services and Tide’s core platform in the French market. Our France team is in a dynamic build phase – combining proven success in other geographies with deep investment in local market understanding.
Partner Credit Services is Tide’s SME lending marketplace vertical – connecting business owners to the right funding solution, at the right time, through partnerships with alternative and traditional lenders. ABOUT THE ROLE
As Head of Commercial, France, you’ll be responsible for the go-to-market and ongoing commercial success of Partner Credit Services in France. You’ll report directly to the SVP of Partner Credit Services and work in close collaboration with the Country Managing Director.
This is a high-impact, highly visible leadership role – critical to establishing Tide’s footprint in the French lending ecosystem and building our reputation as a trusted broker for SMEs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Revenue Ownership: Take full ownership of revenue generation by delivering against ambitious targets, lead financial forecast planning and budgeting.
- Shape the market strategy – define Tide’s positioning, lender mix, messaging, and competitive response; localise our proposition to meet the needs of French SMEs and lending partners.
- Build and lead the team – hire and manage a high-performing local Sales and Partnerships team, while fostering a strong performance culture.
- Drive commercial partnerships – establish and expand relationships with lenders, platforms, and key introducers across the SME ecosystem.
- Performance Analysis: Define and implement Sales and Marketing KPIs, rigorously track performance against targets, and proactively take corrective actions to optimise outcomes.
- Influence Product & Engineering Decisions: Influence product and engineering decisions by contributing to OKR planning, supporting market research and refining the value proposition to meet the needs of the French market.
- Be the voice of the market – provide senior leadership with regular insight on customer behaviour, regulatory changes, lender appetite, and market dynamics.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're hiring a proven commercial leader with deep expertise in French SME lending and fintech ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of commercial sharpness, local market fluency, and the leadership experience required to scale a business in a regulated environment.
You should have:
- 12+ years’ experience in Commercial roles, driving revenue and YoY growth.
- 10+ years’ experience in financial services, fintech, or commercial lending – including significant exposure to the SME segment in France.
- A strong track record in P&L ownership, commercial scaling and delivering results in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- At least 5 years’ leadership experience managing commercial or partnerships teams.
- Deep knowledge of French alternative lending products, underwriting models, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical mindset – capable of interpreting complex performance data and building robust commercial models.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills – comfortable presenting to C-suite and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Fluent French and English (written and spoken).
- High degree of autonomy, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive.
- Passion for small businesses and the positive impact access to capital can create.
